Thank you for visiting my website. I have been a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist since 1996, and prior to this I trained in the major teaching hospitals in London. Before I was appointed a Consultant, I was the clinical lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Cambridge University.
As a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, I believe that my specialty is a combination of art and science, and that both play a vital role in providing my patients safe and enjoyable care. I take great pride in providing a personal service for all my clients, and offer email support.
I have now been in full time private practice in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for seven years. I am able to offer prompt investigation and diagnosis without the need of unnecessary visits.
My private Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice is based at the Portland Hospital in Central London, and the Wellington Hospital in St John’s Wood and Golders Green. I now consult at the brand new Wellington Platinum Centre. I also consult at the Cadogan Clinic in Sloane Street and the Portobello Clinic in West London.
I am a former Council Member of the British Society of Psychosomatic Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I also provide my clients, not only with the most up to date clinical care but also access to other therapies including psychotherapy and Mindfulness.
I feel that a holistic approach complements the very real medical advances of the last 50 years, and that a clinician needs the essential ability to care and to be kind to their patients.
My main gynaecological interests are pelvic pain and endometriosis, and the treatment of heavy periods. I was one of the pioneers of the Novasure Endometrial Ablation (the 3 minute hysterectomy) treatment, I have also established 'one visit clinics' for Gynaecology in Central London.
I am an experienced gynaecological surgeon and also carry out minimally invasive (keyhole) and pelvic floor (prolapse) surgery. I offer my clients laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis and pelvic pain, and also vaginal surgery for prolapse and cosmetic gynaecology, including reconstructive vulval and labial surgery.
