MonaLisa Touch
Mona Lisa Touch Laser Therapy, now available in Harley Street
The MonaLisa Touch C02 is a laser treatment to help women who suffer from vaginal atrophy. At rapidaccessgynaecology, we use the Mona Lisa Touch laser system to reduce the symptoms of vaginal atrophy which develop after the menopause, and to treat vestibular pain and lichen sclerosis.
This C02 laser was developed to improve vaginal function and help reduce the discomfort characteristically caused by the menopause. It is non hormonal and suitable for every woman, but in particular, for women who cannot use HRT.
Mr Morris uses the MonaLisa Touch laser to treat symptoms of vaginal atrophy, burning, pain during sex, dryness, recurrent urinary tract infections and vaginal itching. He also uses it to treat bacterial vaginosis.
The CO2 laser generates pixilation in the vaginal epithelium (skin)and stimulates collagen production in the vaginal mucosa. This stops discomfort and reverses vaginal atrophy. It is fast and safe!
Treatment Protocols
Treatment is in 3 stages:
The first treatment follows a consultation in Harley Street and takes a few minutes after the laser safety check.
The second treatment is scheduled for a month later.
The final treatment is 1-2 months later.
Mr Morris also recommends a yearly maintenance treatment.
From his audit, the majority of Mr Morris’s patients have reported a significant improvement in their quality of life., with 90% experiencing relief from their vaginal symptoms associated with vaginal atrophy.
What does MonaLisa Touch treat?
The MonaLisa Touch laser is designed to treat symptoms of the genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM). This includes:
Pain during intercourse - dyspareunia.
Vaginal dryness.
Genital itching or burning sensation, of the vulva or vagina.
General vaginal dryness and discomfort.
Recurrent vaginal discharge.
Recurrent UTIs (urinary tract infections).
Reverses vaginal atrophy and therefore reduces discomfort or pain during sex.
-
The CO2 laser gently emits a controlled thermal energy to the vaginal tissues and this stimulates collagen growth, which stops at the menopause. The result of this is an increase in vaginal lubrication, and a possible tightening of the vaginal walls.

Testimonials
“I liked Dr Morris thorough investigative interview with a focus on me and not statistics. I saw him in regards to my perimenopause symptoms. He was very attentive and despite my incoherence on that day, he was able to see beyond it and read me like an open book.
I like his holistic approach and I left the appointment reassured that he has my back and all will be well.”
