Vaginal Reconstruction & Perineal Surgery
Vaginal Reconstruction Surgery (Prolapse Repair)
Childbirth is the most rewarding experience a woman will experience. However, the physiological and anatomical changes which occur after pregnancy and childbirth can result in a weakness of both the vaginal tissues and the supporting structures and can affect the bladder and the rectum. This can lead to urinary and faecal incontinence. This is why performing pelvic floor exercises is crucial.
We now know that the loss of vaginal muscle tone varies from woman to woman, and may occur after the birth of the first child.
The majority of patients I see after childbirth are concerned about the effect that loss of muscle tone. This loss of tone results in less friction felt during intercourse, and this can reduce libido and enjoyment of sex.
The aim of vaginal surgical treatment is to improve the shape and structure of the internal aspects of the vagina and to reform the pre-pregnancy anatomy. This procedure can be carried out at the same time as labial or perineal surgery.
The clinical benefits can reverse urinary incontinence, urgency and constipation

Perineal Surgery Perineal Refashioning
This area (the perineum) between the vagina and the anus can become disfigured following an episiotomy or the repair of a tear after childbirth. This can affect confidence and, understandably, often libido as well. It normally occurs with the development of perineal body weakness.
This operation will improve the cosmetic appearance of the perineum, but also improve vaginal tone, and bowel evacuation.

“Mr Morris has a wonderfully straightforward, understanding, positive manner. I had an appointment with him with regards to long term vestibulitis. He is the first person (and there have been many!) I have consulted who has suggested that he can help improve my condition. He has a great understanding and knowledge of this.
I left the appointment feeling super positive. I received a written report detailing everything we discussed and my treatment. I wish I had known of him many years ago. Highly recommended.”
