The MyoSure Procedure: A Valuable Advance in Gynaecology
Surgical Gynaecological treatment has been transformed over the past two decades by the development of endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures. My opinion is that the MyoSure hysteroscope has become the most important instrument I use. It is useful for not only targeted biopsies to determine the nature of a biopsy of the uterus, but is therapeutically used to remove products of conception and performing uterine resection of uterine polyps and submucous fibroids.
What is the MyoSure Procedure?
MyoSure has significantly advanced the way abnormal vaginal bleeding, polyps, and fibroids are investigated and treated. The device allows the surgeon to directly view the inside of the uterus, take targeted biopsies, and remove abnormal tissue with a high degree of precision, all within a single procedure.
I perform MyoSure procedures in the operating theatre under general anaesthetic. I have treated over 500 women with this technology over the past 10 years and remain impressed with the results, a view that is reflected in patient feedback.
What MyoSure Treats
Post-menopausal bleeding: Direct visualisation and biopsy of uterine tissue allows for accurate diagnosis and treatment in one procedure

Recovery and Suitability
